T.C. Geist is a photographer, a stay-at-home dad, and also a bit of a cynic. He often combines two of his greatest passions, flyfishing and photography, with results that defy your preconceived notions of color. Those close to him might say he is an energetic and outspoken man, yet his photographs show a quiet reverence to the world around him. Viewing his work, everything slips away and we live completely inside each of his frozen moments. Tim’s images of places take on a dreamlike quality, to the point that the viewer will almost question the existence of its subject. He is able to show us the limitless textures of a wide, open space just as easily as he manages to pinpoint the most epic moment of a football game.
Tim, a New Jersey native, currently resides in Bergen County with his wife and two young sons. In 1996 he received a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, which has obviously been critical to his career thus far.
